Time Capsule is a reissue label that unites the record collectors and DJs of the
brilliant corners and Beauty & The Beat communities in London. Their first release
is the reissue of Il Guardiano Del Faro's 1978 album "Oasis". Federico Monti Arduini
produced a number of albums from this seaside idyl of electronic instruments and tape
recorders, but 'Oasis' stands out from the pack. Released in 1978, it became a cult
classic for its experimental sounds and emotional expressions.

by producer Bill Laswell of Ethiopian singer Ejigayehu Shibabaw (a.k.a. Gigi).
Following the release of her self-titled major-label album in 2001, recorded alongside
legendary jazz names such as Wayne Shorter, Laswell embarked on a series of ambient
re-works of the record, which were released on CD in 2003 and which brought out Gigi’s
deep musicality.

A self-taught guitarist and composer, Gratien Midonet's musical life developed in
parallel to his academic and spiritual pursuits. Midonet achieved a cult status for
the title track of his 1979 debut, 'Van An Leve', which became a protest anthem for
Martinique's independence movement, and was briefly censored by the French authorities.
This compilation 'A Cosmic Poet From Martinique (1979-1989)' is a propulsive mix of
cosmic synths, acoustic folk, and Creole lyricism that became the essence of Midonet's
sound. Comes on a 45 rpm 180 gram audiophile vinyl pressing.
